GTPD Begins Micromobility Enforcement

As micromobility use — defined as bicycles, electric bicycles, electric scooters, and electric skateboards — continues to grow across campus, the Georgia Tech Police Department is expanding its safety efforts through increased education and enforcement. On Monday, Aug. 31, the Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD) began increased enforcement of micromobility violations across campus, reinforcing existing state laws and City of Atlanta ordinances that apply to all micromobility devices.
